Mr Gopal K. Pillai has also very kindly consented to grace the opening of the Event as our Chief Guest.

GSI 2010 will also be fully supported and attended by the following organisations and agencies of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.

  •    Director Generals of Security Organisations responsible for the Commonwealth Games
  •    Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) – Responsible for the induction of new equipment and
      techniques.
  •    National Security Guard (NSG) – India’s rapid reaction force.
  •   Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) – Responsible for the protection of critical infrastructures
      e.g. Airports/Seaports, Nuclear Power Stations etc
  •    National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)
  •    Border Security Force (BSF) – Responsible for Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar
  •    Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) – Responsible Nepalese and Bhutan borders
  •    Indo/Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
  •    Coastguard – Responsible for the security of over 7,400 km of coastline
  •    Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) – Deployable force to assist State/Union Territories in Police operations
  •    The Director Generals of Police covering all States.
